Purpose

File Viewer is a read-oriented administrative browser for trusted project files beneath the configured allowed root. It lets you browse folders, select files, and preview supported files without leaving the application.

  • Markdown: .md, .markdown
  • Text and data: .txt, .json
  • Web preview: .html, .htm
  • Source display: .php
  • Images: .jpg, .jpeg, .png
  • Documents: .pdf

Reload the page, reselect the file filter, or use the Base directory button in the sidebar. The tree and file list are reread on each page request.

Yes. Text, JSON, Markdown, and PHP-source views may provide a client-side search control. It searches only the currently displayed file; it does not search all project files.

Yes. The Browse tab file-name filter narrows the folders and files listed in the current selected directory. It is not recursive across the entire project.

Files outside the configured allowed root, symbolic links, unreadable files, and files beyond the configured size limit are rejected. HTML previews should be sandboxed. PHP should be shown as source by default and only executed through a dedicated development-only endpoint.
